Premarket
- ABNB was on the premarket gap down list.
- Candle action was definitely wonky in the premarket but the volume was immense and it had reason to move, bad catalyst on slowing revenue.
- This was a last minute add on to the watchlist, so I set levels and trade plan was to watch for confirmation on either side.
OPEN
- Opening patterns weren't showing anything special, I didn't look at this until 11:05 because at this point the candle was showing bounce off the VWAP on both 1 min and 5 min charts, it had been respecting levels above VWAP all morning, so it was great indication to get in.
Trade 1: I got in on candle confirmation on both charts. Small entry size and didn't want to get in full position because of the way it was moving, super jumpy + the spread was like >5 cents at a time. Added 3 different times close to each other. The trade took off to the upside and for some fucking reason, when I tried to market sell half at 1R it rejected the order because it thought I was trying to short it??? At that point I was like nah fuck outta here, and I stopped myself all out. The stock moved up $2!!!! Dumbass tws.
Reflection
- You spotted the GTFI criteria and got in, scaled in and set reasonable stop loss, you held on the ups and downs BUT you noticed that it was gradually moving up in your favor despite the minor drops.
- Technical difficulties kept you from earning big on this. No clue why it was restricting you from selling when you had positions long...
- Semi successful trade.
