Nothing attention grabbing moving in premarket
- One of those stocks you watch on quiet days.
Open
- All day the stock has been trading over the VWAP and so I was looking for a possible VWAP reversal off the VWAP. There was a mini break of the VWAP and new candle forming to the upside.
Trade 1: First entry on new 5 min and 1 min candles bouncing off the VWAP. Second entry on a new 5 min candle and mini pull back on the 1 min chart. The trade resolved to the upside, but I was waiting for 2R. Usually, I trade until 1R so I think at this point I was just trying to make up for the losses from the morning because at this point, I would have taken my partial and move to break even. I clearly remember seeing the price action struggle to maintain those levels and it should have been my indicator to get out, instead I let it flush on me and I stop out early do the strong flush to the downside.
Reflection
- Usually, I am right about knowing when it's going to curl down against me and at this point, I knew it, but I still held because I was being greedy trying to make up earlier losses in the day. You can't be trading your P&L. Follow each trade individually from the previous trades and follow strictly the technical indicators.
