One of those stocks you watch on a slow day
Open
Trade 1: Was watching this stock at the open very carefully. The 1 min chart was showing me intentions to break to the downside. I might have gotten in too early into the new candle because the price action immediately stared to curl back up. First candle on the new 5 min candle broke the VWAP but the following candles broke up past the VWAP. First entry on the break down and was stopped out but I definitely could have gotten out earlier with the way it was curling back up slowly.
Trade 2: Second trade was on the breakdown of the price action. First entry on the break, second entry on the break even lower. Third entry on what seemed like a break into the VWAP again after it had curled up again. At this point I shouldn't have scaled in more simply due to the fast that the break recovered rather quickly and was holding now ABOVE the VWAP even if it was even so slightly. The price action broke out and stopped me out.
Trade 3: Took a short on the break of the consolidation break. Second entry as an anticipation move to break the VWAP. I should have gotten out once the price action broke back into the consolidation range, there was not hope after that once it broke.
Reflection
- First trade I could have waited for the 5 min candle to close.
- Second trade the first two entries were called for but once the price action started trading over the VWAP again, I should have gotten out.
- Didn't follow my rules of my trade book either on this, the candle didn't even close for me to see where the general consensus was.
