COVINGTON, La. (AP) _ Hornbeck Offshore Services (HOS) on Wednesday reported a loss of $19.2 million in its fourth quarter.
The Covington, Louisiana-based company said it had a loss of 53 cents per share.
The results met Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was also for a loss of 53 cents per share.
The offshore vessel provider posted revenue of $41.9 million in the period, which missed Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $46.8 million.
For the year, the company reported a loss of $63.8 million, or $1.76 per share, swinging to a loss in the period. Revenue was reported as $224.3 million.
Hornbeck Offshore shares have declined 11 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $6.45, a climb of slightly more than 6 percent in the last 12 months.
