Thesis/Plan
Was anticipating MSFT news to hit AMD also. Didn't quite do so. Plan was to risk against 115.5-116 with an exit around 119-121.
Good
Identified a trend line which it followed, but the stock just didn't move too cleanly through the rest of the day. Saw this and decided to not pay much attention to this trade anymore. With the way it moved, it was just premium burning.
Bad
Started off with way too much size due to anticipating a move like NVDA.
Summary
Anticipated a move like NVDA, but didn't get it. It did head towards HOD, but very slowly with too many swings in both directions. Not a clean chart that should be played.
How would you play this trade next time?
Don't, just ignore and focus on the real plays, NVDA and MSFT.
