Gap up put this on my list. K also played this one but I don't think we did it the same, forget how he played it in the morning.
OWW flagged after the gap up all morning and the range got really tight. I decided to jump in before the break with a stop at 11.06.
It doesn't look like it here, but it felt like 11.4 was a bit of resistance and I knew 11.5 could pose problems as well as the daily high. It was approaching midnight here and I have to sleep so I can go to work in the morning so I pulled the trigger for a great gain - but look if I had held!
Execution detail:
Date/time | Symbol | Side | Price | Position |
---|---|---|---|---|
2013-08-08 10:36:24 | OWW | buy | $11.160 | long |
2013-08-08 10:47:08 | OWW | sell | $11.400 | 0 |
I had an external reason - 11 AM is midnight here and I leave for work around 8:30 in the morning. If a stock is very strong I may ride it til 1 or 2am my time, but I might have to miss the following trading day if I do. This one had possible resistance at 11.50 so I didn't want to risk losing a day over it.
If I go full time, would definitely hold moves like this one.
I really took this advice to heart for the Friday session. It was exhausting but I don't have to work the next morning - and had my best day yet. Thanks guys, really appreciate the input!

Perfect entry, nicely done, then let them run and slowly keep pulling a little money out and put it in your pocket as held the 9MA all day.
