I had this on watch for a breakout with it having nice volume the prior day when it bounced. there was resistance at $69.81 and $70.81. I missed the big move but was looking to enter once it broke through resistance at $69.81 and play up to $70.81. I've been making mistakes lately buying at resistance and not support. Leading most of my breakout trades turning into losses. Well, I did it with this trade also.
I realize now that it needed to rest after such a big run in the morning and needed a deeper pullback to break through resistance given the time of day. I got stopped out because I bought on a weak test of resistance. The trade ended up playing out as I had expected but I missed it after getting stopped out.
Lessons:
I'm seeing the setups correctly but not playing them right.
I need to stop buying at weak tests of resistance because I'm missing my R:R.
