ATW Trade on May 30, 2017 09:42 from Boston: Tradervue User Stock Trades.

I made a big mistake on this stock today with over tradeing... I had a total of 5 trades on this stock and was 2/5. I had a big trade at the open that allowed me to start the day off with a decent win. It was a bull flag on the 1 min chart that was bouncing off the VWAP and MAs.

I then took a trade that was another pullback/flag setup bouncing again off the VWAP but this one wasn't as clean. It didn't really work out and I got out for a small gain basically breakeven.

The third entry was another valid setup. Instead of a pullback, this was a real flag at this point and would have been a good add spot if I didn't get out of the last trade. It didn't end up working, but was worth the shot. At this point, I should have called it quits because I gave a third of the profits away.

But I traded it again for an ugly flag. I was considering it a flat top bull flag which it kind of was, but it just didn't look right. I kept adding into strength, but this hit the pre-market high and died off. I really gave back half my profits at this point but I spotted a golden setup that I needed to take the risk on.

I wanted to trade this because it was breaking over the pre-market high and formed a flat top flag all the way from the beginning of pre-market. This had the potential to make a big and sharp move if it worked out, but it didn't and I stopped out when it broke below the low of the breakout candle. Was worth the shot, just didn't work out.

In hindsight, I should have stopped trading this after the first trade, but I did see valid setups in this, they just didn't end up working out. So I wouldn't consider this over trading. Although what I could have done better was trade off the 5 min chart when it was breaking out, but have a wider stop so that it would have cancelled two of these trades.
