Hey Emilie,
Thanks for answering my question on trading psychology in such great detail.
My only questions for this trade are:
Do you try to anticipate the ORB and then add on the confirmation of new highs like you did here?
What was your stop? VWAP?
For me, the entry was $179 as it held $178 premarket level. Why didn't you add on the higher low/bull flag?
I'd also like to know what made you sell up there.
@Jamestrader : it was very strong so I just put my stop under the low of a big candle every few 10-15 minutes. I didn't expect it to suddenly crash so I didn't worry about giving up too much unrealized profits.
@VinnyB: yeah, I was anticipating the ORB. My stop was a bit under VWAP, under $175.70. I didn't think about adding because I already oversized and felt happy that it broke out (I was a bit nervous about my early entries). I sold because I started seeing long upper tails and it was 12pm then I saw another red candle so I exited. If a stock was already trending for a long time, I always make sure I take at least 3/4 off around lunch time.
Thanks, trailing has been a struggle for me. Is this the trail method you use on most of your trades?

Hello,
how do you trail out of a position like this? Thanks
