DKS had news it was executing a new price match strategy and gapping below the key level on the daily chart as margins would be compressed. The news wasn't great but not bad enough in my opinion to send the stock much lower as it has already been hammered with retail. I just wanted to trade price action. I short when a lot of selling was happening on the tape at 35 and covered into the pre market lows which was good as the stock broke then surge off that level. I flipped long and caught a quick long scalp as well. I moved on after those 2 quick trade and traded another stock however I missed a great opportunity to catch 1 point holding above 35.
