- Watching TSLA at the open, it was giving nice levels that were indicating a downside bias by the market. Took a first entry on the price action having broken to the upside in the opening of the first minute candle and come back down very strongly, the previous day high and closing levels were very close by so I planned a PDC break down break before the market open. Second entry on the break of the Premarket high and break of the PDC. New candle open, waited on the confirmation to hold and took an additional entry on the price action breaking down on the following candle. Took partials to not overstay my welcome and eventually the price action broke up and stopped me out at the break even. Nice small profit off this trade.
Reflection
- 3 indicators? yes, set the plan before hand, look good, took first entry on the huge retraction from the opening candle.
- Scaling? Additional entries on the further break down and break of significant levels.
- Partials? Along the way down and rest at break even.
- Risk management? Proper share size and proper partials. Knew my risk and my hard stop. Got out at the break even.
- What went right/wrong? Trade was successful in my eyes. Did everything the best way I knew how to in the moment. Emotions in check.
- Successful trade? Yes, traded the plan + technicals. Emotions in check.
