One of those stocks that you watch
Open
- Woke up this morning late. The scanners weren't showing much and the market seemed like it had lower volume coming off the holiday weekend. Set levels on TSLA and watched for it to trade either way. First entry on the price action coming up to the premarket high and holding it on confirmation for two candles. Risk was risk below the VWAP target was previous day's high. The price action chopped out for the next two candles on large range and I got out on the price action opening to the downside on a lower candle. Got out on the rejection.
Reflection
- 3 indicators? Yes, first entry called for the potential move to the upside. Broke above premarket high. Out on the price action breaking the bottom of the consolidation range above the VWAP.
- Scaling? No, no additional confirmation.
- Partials? No.
- Risk management? Out on the price action rejecting to the downside and breaking towards my stop loss.
- What went right/wrong? Knew where my stop was and where my target was, first entry called for, risk management was good.
- Successful trade? Yes, trade idea valid and execution valid.
