- After the previous trade very obviously rejected, I saw the sellers stepping in on the tape after it broke below the previous day low. I took first entry immediately and my second entry right after the break of the low of the day also (i meant to buy 37 shares and not 57) I accepted it and rode the momentum, third minor position addition to basically complete my full position which I would have taken in different share sizes but since my second entry was fucked up so my third entry was much smaller than what it usually is, I took that third entry in anticipation of the following candle also breaking down which it did. Took my partial at 3R, again at it appearing to be slowing down. The last exit honestly was not called for, I could have still rang with it because it had not broken out of that consolidation range that it was trading in, I jumped the gun on calling it early and left money on the table because it did ultimately resolve very nicely into a second leg.
Reflection
- 3 indicators? Yes, first entry called for.
- Scaling? Additional entry called for even though the second entry was the incorrect share size.
- Partials? Yes at 3R, tape slowing down to the downside and what I thought looked to be reversal indicator on the price action consolidating sideways.
- Risk management? Trade idea was valid, the entries were also valid, partials were appropriate.
- What went right/wrong? Trade execution was valid. Need to be careful of my order entries because I did the same yesterday. What was me reading the price action incorrectly while it was consolidating.
- Successful trade? 60% successful
