AXDX Trade on Sep 30, 2013 15:01 from mirko_BOWS: Tradervue User Stock Trades.

The stock was getting overextended after a big run up and I decided to short it for the end of the day flush when it was under VWAP and 9EMA was nicely pushing it down. It tried to move above 9EMA couple of times but could not do it and I decided to go in for a short but instead price popped up.

I know there were at least two opportunities for shorting before but I missed it and saw this time a nice breakdown setup. Did I miss something else?

bit late on entry.. the break of$13.05/13.00 was the sweet spot to short for a decent gain...http://screencast.com/t/FGIEQ7WABG

@Stefan: Did not loose much mate, lesson learned :)

@Nape: You are right Nape, I saw that opportunity (mentioned in the trade description) but for some strange reason wasn't convinced and waited a bit longer. The time of the entry when I entered the trade did not seem to be much different since the stock was under the VWAP and 9EMA was pushing it even more from above then in the example above.

What makes it wrong entry if I may ask?

entry not necessarily wrong.. just the timing was off, the stock had already made its move to the downside and you tried to catch the back end. it was just to late to short, opportunity was missed as you mentioned.

i used to this all the time i notice these late day shorts are not working for me im like 34% on then the last 30 of them haaaa i used to be hot. the market is so strong these stocks get low and base people buy them.....assholes! might be a momentary thing but its been happening for 3 months i noticed
