Earnings had a small double miss on EPS and revenue but guidance was not good. Coupled this with Steve Spencer said recently he expects lots of buying in front of earnings as he expects earnings to be good. They were the opposite of good. First day trading this setup. I almost entered on the first pop up but I waited for it to come into $193 which I had at R1. $193 was actually HOD to the penny. My stop was just above HOD at $194.06 and hold for the bigger move with the entry on the break of the 1min candle. It took 2 hours to reach my target so I really had to fight for price on this one.
My first add was a mistake as the tape was so fast and I tried to enter on break of low but I was quite a bit early and ended up taking a loss.
My second add was for the break of the whole dollar again but it was the same shares as my original add so I exited half. This should have been a C entry add so not entirely sure? I exited this add position on continued resistance at the next whole dollar
I exited my original entry at my modified first target of 1ATR from HOD and exited the entire position. I noticed there was massive support at each whole dollar so instead of exiting at 184.80 I moved my target to 184.02. LOD was printed at $184 so I think this was a great decision. I exited my full position at the double bar break which was actually a quadruple bar break on increased volume.
