terrible trade.. I chased the run up.. entered at the high instead of waiting for it to breakout, which you can see it never did.
Execution detail:
Date/time | Symbol | Side | Price | Position |
---|---|---|---|---|
2013-10-02 13:17:00 | POT | buy | $32.850 | long |
2013-10-02 14:38:00 | POT | sell | $32.660 | 0 |
Definitely a chase. That $32 spot was such a perfect set up, and it had also the support on the daily in that it passed the 20dma just soon before that. Also, on the daily, you can easily see a natural resistance point around the 32.60-.80 spot (from 9/10-9/23 or so), so I wouldn't be buying at the resistance point without b/o confirmation from that spot. One thing I notice with your trades - you tend to trade more around lunch time, rather than in the morning. Are you able to trade earlier in the day? I think you might do well to get started much earlier. Mid-day/lunchtime trades are very hard (imo from my very short trading experience!!).
Thanks for the comments guys and gals. Gena yes ive been in the chatroom all day everyday last few days. The morning is just so fast that by the time i see a setup and react its too late...so when things slow down im more comfortable. I use tc2000 gold but its still not real time. Most times kunal calls something, i dont see it for a few seconds.
Understood! It is fast for sure. I wish he would tell us what he is specifically stalking for the morning before he calls out the trade entry (although I guess that would be his watchlist posted on BOWS, duh). I often follow szaman's lead - he is excellent too and often calls out what he is stalking with enough notice before he gets in.
Notice the decrease in volume on each successive 5 min candle. Buyers fatigue.
