• Cartesian Sets Third Quarter 2017 Conference Call for Monday, November 13,
2017 at 4:30 p.m. ET

• Mill Road Capital disclosed amended 1.9% stake – 13D filing

I wanted to get Short if & when:
• CRTN buying on the tape began to slow down & selling pressure became noticeable
• Price rejection at resistance (1.00)

I wanted to add into this position if & when:
• Short into strength/Short the bounce (Short the lower highs)
• Short when a sized offer steps in

What Happened & How I responded

• CRTN like a lot of small caps this week began to pick up momentum moving with no catalyst pushing it higher. I began to watch CRTN trading up to 1.00. This level had sized offers that were ready to put up a fight to keep price below (They Won). CRTN got rejected & offers started to step down. Price bounced off 0.70 trading up to 0.93 before curling back over. (Lower High). Bids sat on 0.70 keeping price above this level. While the bears kept making LH’s into support. Around 12:18PM the bulls gave up with price crashing down through support (0.70). After using 0.70 once as support when price was below it became a significant resistance level. Price traded in a range between 0.58 – 0.70. At 2:27PM price broke down out of the range & continued to trade lower into the close.

Entry execution and position management (Why did I take the play, size as I did and what was my plan?):

• My entries were okay and definitely could have been better in some spots. When I first got into this position I didn’t get short right at resistance (1.00). I waited for confirmation & price to rollover. I put on a feeler lot (0.91). I added the second lot when the offers stepped down from 1.00 → 0.98. Second lot entry price @ 0.95. I didn’t want to add into the breakdown so wait for a bounce. CRTN started to bounce & I add lot #3 (0.79), #4 (0.81) & #5 (0.87). Again price broke down & I waited for another bounce to add lot #6 (0.79), #7 (0.85) & #8 (0.87).

Risk Management & Exit Execution (My plan for the play & my Reason2Sell):

• My first two lots I put on where above 1.01. Shorting to strength I didn’t want to see the strength continue 10c from my last lot. Once price broke support I took off size @ 0.61 / 0.50 & 0.41.

• I really liked this trade. From the start of this trade was never out of the money. I thought it was bizarre to gain 48% on a dollar stock. If it was to dropped 52% the company would have been bankrupted
