After about 15 minutes into the day, I had enough sense to scale back in share size. I took 500 shares of this stock aiming for a 10 cent scalp. Looking back on it now, it appears the proper entry on a 1-minute pullback following a fresh breakout would have been at $1.40. I went long the stock 10 cents after the ideal entry price for a poor entry into the stock, which only set me up for failure as the stock failed to follow through with my profit target. Stocks like these that show momentum should only be entered into when you are trading in strong markets, not when you have choppy price action in the small-caps. Also, my lack of sleep affected the accuracy of this trade with a less-than-ideal entry. I stopped out break-even on the trade with $10.08 lost in commissions.
