Morning flag break. This was sloppy so I decided to exit flat. As usual, when I decide to exit flat it messes with my head and I had to get back in 5 min later and then took a huge amount of risk for very minimal gain. While this was a profitable trade I was down like $750 on it and took my daily PL to almost -$2k trying to get it all back with a home run. I did end up coming back to just a small loss of $168 but damn, I took way too much risk to do it and could have destroyed my account w/ this kind of trading. The one thing I will say is that though I was down a lot on the second trade, I decided not to sell because even after it dumped, it was still within the trend and I suspected it would hold since the market was grinding up all day. My gut was right and I was able to turn this into a profitable trade by adding another small scalp into the close, despite the risk.
