This was the most disappointing trade of my career. There were a number of reasons why this was not a good trade from a risk management point of view: spreads were 20-30 cents upon entry, entry was on a price level that was way too extended off moving averages--in fact, I actually bought this near the high of day and doubled my position for a total of 4,000 shares at high of day--hesitated to stop out as the stock began to tank, and couldn't stop out when I wanted to because of heavy selling pressure on Bid preventing me from filling my orders. I lost $1,200.82 in net realized losses on this trade.

I wanted to wait it out and see if RADA would be able to break the high of day, and so I let the trade go against me for a few moments. I thought because of LFIN's price yesterday from the day before that we would see heavy momentum on RADA, a stock that popped up on Ross's scanners.

One of the more frustrating parts of the day was when KONE made a similar move to RADA later on and actually resolved its move upward for 1-2 dollars--to my memory. I missed the entry on this trade. LENS also made a move like KONE and resolved as well.

I was also not in the right headspace this morning. I was feeling sluggish. I also placed no trades on Monday for two reasons: 1) I did not see many long opportunities in small caps, 2) Suretrader platform was having technical issues--rejecting my orders. I tried placing trades on MLNK and MOSY that day but got rejected due to technical errors. HSON was also rejected that day too.

The strategy going forward is to size down after today's losses that took 1/3 of my gains on TIK last week. I need to preserve as much of my gains as possible for next TIK-esque leg up in my small account. Today was also a losing day but will comment tomorrow on it.

On the bright side, at least these losses will bring my cost basis down for doing taxes next year. I was secretly hoping that my small account breakthrough would not happen this year as I am not considered a day trader by the IRS and have yet to apply for mark-to-market treatment. I will apply next year.
