Most disappointing trade today. This one was definitely frustrating. I bought the stock too high off of its moving averages and sold too late as it immediately rejected its move. My aim, to my memory, was a 1 point move, and it just touched my profit target before it retraced its entire move. I was having difficulty selling on the Bid. Closed this trade for a $560.90 net realized gain.

It looks like sometimes you overestimate how quickly you'd be able to get out on stocks that drop like this, consider this slippage when sizing shares on future positions.

Had to stop trading after my 5th loser.

We saw a lot of premarket activity in stocks trading based on cryptocurrency news, NETE and NXTD. Ross was having technical issues putting up his scanners this morning and didn't have them up while I was trading, which made trading for good entries that much more difficult.

The lessons here for today are: 1) trade better setups (i.e. actual bull flag and consolidating patterns, close to support levels, above VWAP, near half and whole dollar levels, within $1-10 price range, at least 2x relative volume, ideally with news catalyst, long-bodied candles, etc.), and 2) position size was appropriate, its just that you need to be quicker in spotting exit indicators and acting on them by selling on the Bid when the trade doesn't go your way.
