This was risky. A Hault Resumption Trade!
Haults up at 8:38am @ $1.55
Resumes at 8:43am @ $1.62
It dips to $1.59 and I get in as it goes higher @ $1.61
The price went up to $1.77 quickly and I tried to get out on the ASK. It went back down quickly, I wasn't filled and I had to cancel and resubmit my order. All this within 30 seconds.
I got out @ $1.66 for a 5 cent per share profit.
The next candle the price goes back to $1.75 but does not make new highs. 1 min later, it Haults Down!! I exited it time.
Hault resumption trades are always risky. I knew that going into the trade but I have missed a few of these over the past weeks and I tried my hand at this one. It wasn't the most ideal trade as it was past my usual "risk parameters" but I wanted some experience.
Bad thing was it didn't go way higher like the other stocks I traded. This one went red within minutes. The others haulted up more than once.
The good thing about this trade was managing the risk while I was in it. I could of held a minute more and perhaps got out with more than 5 cents per share. However, 1 minute later, I would have paid for that decision as it haulted down.
