Looked so good to me at the time on a light volume P/B to the 9EMA on 5 min. Took partial position as i've been jumping the gun so wanted to ease in and add if P/B at all on support and still keep my R:R appropriate. Added to full position as VWAP held and put a stop on -.15 to allow for a little wiggle room under the intra higher low as there was less and less volume as it appeared to go side ways. I could swear i put my stop in before i left but i had to have hit limit buy stop instead of limit to market stop sell. So now i'm double long on this turd. From now on i need to double check all orders before i shut down and leave for work and will have to verify that with TOS that once live, the orders will stay standing even if i have to close out to leave. This trade should have stopped out for -.15 and i stuck to my plan.
FOLLOW UP: So it bought more instead of stopped out so i waited the first 15 minutes to assess the damage and after it couldn't break up to make a higher high i took off for -.10 overall loss.

So true. I've been rationalizing pure Crap lately. Thanks Chris. New rule on my monitor, no more averaging down, only averaging up!

Don't worry bro I have been trading like a total fool lately myself! This type of market makes us do weird stuff. A lot of your trades are hot ... This is just a great time to realign because this is the type of market that everyone's retarded side comes out and we get to see who the real traders are! Ha!

One thing I see as a recurring theme in your trades is that you add a partial position and then average down if it doesn't work. Instead I recommend waiting for a setup you can commit to with a full size position as you will have the confidence to let it run, and also save $$$ on commission!
