Great Gap up to new highs in a sector that's been HOT! Waited as long as could before entering the ORB. Stop -.50, Target +1, +2. Ran up to +.94 and started to pullback so raised stop to just above B/E. I butchered this trade. As soon as started rolling should have pulled off 1/2 at +.75 or better and expected a P/B to the VWAP (and 20EMA on 2 min) and looked to add back to full position on that P/B bounce. Great original entry, managed poorly

so, whatcha gonna do next time???? Sell into the spikes! Sell into the spikes! Sell into the spikes!!!
Nice entry, good stop. Try analyzing trades you've taken like this over time and see how they pan out. Define a specific rule for how to play them, like so:
If my entry is between 9:30 and 9:45 and the stock hits 1r, take off half due to morning volatility and move stop to b/e. Take 2R on the second half or 2R on all but lotto shares and let lotto run for the rest of the day w/ stop at b/e.
I notice i do this a lot, miss my limit sell and it starts to roll and pullsback to my entry level since i got in at a technical B/O level, however this time the MA is there which seems like a great place to add back the partial that i sold.
if ur gonna hold it all the way down from a dollar spike u might as well hold it back for the bounce no sense selling it for a few pennies when its going for a big move
Kunal, i've been recording my trades live with commentary so i can review later to see what mindset was, and i noticed something in my review on this trade that helps reinforce to sell the spike and to look to add on P/B to support. That's been tuff for me but is getting clearer.
