ERROR is no daily chart alignemnt

ERROR TRADE SHORTING WHEN GAPPED UP
Daily was on momo list due to flat bottom break and bad news
However the stock gapped up even after more "bad" news that the founder had resigned
So a stock is on short watch and it gaps up...maybe that negates the short theory???
Apparently I didn't think so, it looked like it found resistance at around 54, so I was thinking reversal
Intraday flag formed, so I shorted at what I thought was a penetration of the lower flag trendline and a cross of the 9EMA
50c risk to just above range but went with small share size
I guess when it went 4 candles without being able to break down I should have just bailed..what kept me in..FOMO????
