Okay, here we go! I saw this popping pre-market and I tried to buy it after seeing the news release showing a contract with Fed Ex. Didn't mark the ticket to fill outside of regular trading hours so I didn't get the fill at $2.95 I wanted. I got a fill shortly after open and took quick profits, then added back in when it was going for another run. Way to cut your profits quickly, Rick!! Should have sold off part and rode the rest. I felt like this stock was going to be strong all day and it was. A smart play would have been to hold this overnight as the news was strong. It popped 10% the next morning. I cut my profits quickly on Tuesday. I need to be a little more patient! Still, ended up about $300. Not a bad first official day. I'm revising my Trading Plan rules to allow me to trade the same stock repeatedly during a day. I like the idea of surfing it--taking the longs and the shorts to stay with it if I feel like I understand what's going on with the stock. I could have made my whole day with this stock as it was volatile enough to do so. I'm also still learning some of the ins and outs of the IB platform and it cost me money on this one.

whoa man u had the home run here. u got to let it give u a reason to sell. u don't sell to sell. u sell when ur list of reasons to sell are hit. this is the right idea but just sloppy. even if u make money who cares. if u make 100 bucks when u could have made 5000 thats a losing trade. this trade u need replay it live on tos replay or some simulator and figure out why u took this position off as its going straight up
