Gapped up and looked like it was bouncing off the 20 SMA on the daily chart. It kept tapping the 35.60 point so once it broke that I got in. Went up a little bit but broke down soon after so I got stopped out once it broke the 9 EMA and VWAP.

I've definitely noticed that if the gap isn't significant (breaking consolidation/flag/previous highs or lows) it's only 50/50 whether it holds. I think I'm going to start being very hesitant to play gappers like this and if I do, it probably will be more of an afternoon play so there's more confirmation of either strength or weakness.
Sounds good in theory at least!!

gaps can be tricky when they gap inside price action on the daily - in this case it gapped but was still inside the move from the day before
A gap to over 40 or under 32 for instance would be more appealing
intraday great entry and excellent job bailing when it didn't work out
