FLUUUKE! My first entry was just testing to see if I could buy pre-market and hhave it automatically executed when market opens. It did.
I was watching this stock for a big breakout after it gapped up pre-market. I entered perfectly, and feel as though I managed it perfectly as well. However, due to some crazy, phantom glitch my 25.50 stop got triggered but didn't fill until 22.44.
I wanted some reparations for my inconvenience from earlier. But, I handled it wrong. I'm noticing that I seem to be missing plays by a few candles, so I'm able to recognize the setups but I'm getting stopped out. I set my hard stop right beneath the lowest candle in the base. But it seems like I keep catching one small spike and getting stopped out right before the move.
I need some help with this one. Any suggestions will be put to use. Thx.

Why not buy it back once it got over the EMA. On a late day setup like ,i use 15 min chart with same 9/20 EMA.
I'm having the same issue. I was shaken out of this on the same candle. When I realized it was a spike, I got right back in because the setup was still valid. I have so many notes on my monitors about position sizing... I can't seem to just keep them QUITE small enough and am getting shaken out, often to the penny, and missing runs (I'm almost always under 500 shares unless it's a really perfect setup, with my max loss ~$100). I think the key is to take a slightly smaller position so that you can respect your max loss with a slightly larger stop.

I though you had this one at the beginning of the day? I saw you holler it out in the chat room. What gives?
