1: Why is this not a valid pullback? Volume too heavy on selling?

2: Bought as it broke above a short rest on the way up. Re-added as it broke to new highs. It immediately turned and I turned it into a loss.

I can't help with the pull back question because i am terrible at them. Second entry was good. Can't double up because you reach new highs.... need a setup.
