Hi Gena, I guess at the point where I did short I should have waited to see if it went sideways before the next leg? What do you think?

Now that I look closer at the chart - really hard to say on this, but you did hit it perfectly at the support line and as it was going down, so that makes sense. And then it didn't tank as expected, so you got out. Overall a low risk trade. So who knows.
