Well, this one was not my best trade and took a while until it bounced.
However, it also somehow shows me that my approach seems to be a good one. Even when thinks go sour I can get out of it with patience and keeping it together. When I stay focused and look for the right signals and execute on them.
For a moment it looked like 333 would hold and we would make a lower high for a bounce.
After my starter, NFLX really sold off.
At around 330 I wanted to add again, but was too early. No clear sign of strength and support.
I had 329 written down as support and wanted to wait for my next add to get there. I placed a bid just below it. This moved my average to 331. The recent low and now resistance.
$NFLX retested, but never moved above it and I did not get to take off half at break even as it just spiked and tested for a moment before reversing lower. I was kind of bummed, but not worried.
Also I did not want to add unless $NFLX would put in a new low and show some support and maybe a sign of strength for an actual bounce.
$NFLX sold off and spiked down to 327. On the move on that reject I added another partial to now a full tier of 60 shares and average price of 330.05. At another resistance point... that soon would be tested but not broken.
$NFLX finally bounced out of the 327 reject with a sharp move not allowing me to add more.
Then $NFLX tested 330 several times but never moved to give me a fill at break-even.
After putting in, what turned out to be, a lower high, it made a spike above 330 and I took off half with 332 as target in mind where VWAP and the EMAs would confluence.
But $NFLX happened to respect that 330 area of resistance and retested 327 but respected that intraday support.
On the 3rd test of 327 and when it bounced I added another partial by placing a bid at 327.50. My average now being 329.21 and below the recent resistance of 330 giving me some chance of profit.
I took off a partial at 330 and another just below VWAP at 331.
I kept the rest on and let it play out as it was only 12 shares.
As usually I was faked out of the last two pieces when I thgouth 330 would not hold it support. NFLX respected it, I got faked out and took off for another 5 points that I missed. Amateur move, Markus!
