What a beautiful Top Reversal.
I haven't planned this trade, but had a look at it in premarket and marked some levels and set alarms.
$FB opened around 152 and just at its previous days close of 151.75.
For support I had 149 as a significant level below and 153.50 above (EMA20 at 153.10). With a long bias above 153.50 and next resistance around 156.50-157 and 160.
When my alarm at 153.60 went off I kept a closer eye on it.
$FB traded above 154 and showed some hesitation at that level. I watched it and when it really seemed not to be able to get back above 154 I placed a limit order just below 154 to see how strong it actually is.
I did not get filled at the offer and decided to hit the bid for a starter. Good decision!
$FB immediately dropped to .65s but bounced back and for a moment I thought it found support for a quick pullback to head higher.
Fortunately $FB just made it back to .90s and rejected to sell off hard.
I was very patient with my profits :-)
The first partial I took at the support of 153.15. Great call, Markus!
I though we might make it back up for a Backside-Trade, but $FB was too weak.
$FB dropped further and I took another partial at the confluence of the EMAs and VWAP around 152.50s with 152 as final target.
When $FB turned out to still look weak I stuck with the last piece and took it off at 151.50 just below the previous days close.
Great trade, wish I had taken more size. Still struggle with the right definition of tier sizes and what to base it on... Price, ATR, Daily Range or whatever. But don't have a problem trading small size and make a profit. Green is good. Right?
