Lets start by saying that this trade was a COMPLETE mistake from the beginning. This was a morning gapper. Started Red and pulled back, I went long on the red to green when it popped above VWAP. I bought with a market order, and this was my first hint of a problem. I didnt pay attention before buying and after, realized there was over a $1 spread (error #1). My buy price sucked. I set my stop under the VWAP. Error #2....that UNDER was WAYYYY under, come to realize that somehow i set the stop at 108.68. (dont ask me how) Error #3.....I got involved in another stock and lost track of this one, I figured i had a stop set...no problem...NOT!!!
By the time I got back to this stock, the price had tanked and i ummmm PANICKED. I was down over $900.00, Just then the stop triggered and sold market (remember that $1 spread?) Finally out at -$1092. The rest of the trades were attempts to recover some of the lost money. Error #4....I should have just walked away at this point. I got a few dollars back thru several attempts to beat this stock into submission. Needles to say, I am black and blue and GEVA is laughing at me.
OK...Nuff said...Lessons (plural) learned...!!!!
