Waited for the ema to fade below the vwap but did the mistake to have a wrong size considering the space the price needed to retest the vwap. Another mistake was in closing 25% of my position when the price went against me. Avoiding those 2 mistakes I could have got a nice profitable and satisfactory trade. At the first trade I gave away for free 5$ with a wrong size/stop ratio. Should have been another price to enter and not more space to go against me perhaps? Indeed after I have finally found the profitable entry with a risk of 0.33 cents of dollar.
The trade should have develop with entry at 229.340 at fade below vwap and stop really tight at indeed 0.33, first half out at 228.340, hold and add at 228.75 at fade on the retest of the ema. Now the average would have been 229.045, out half at 228.045, other half at 228.300 once failed the break of the 228 and taking out all the rest once at 0.50 cents per share at 228.55. Total reward would have been 1$ per share on 50% of the position + 1$ per share on 50% of the position the second time once back at whole size, + 0.75$ per share on 0.25% position the third out + 0.50$ per share on 12.5% of the position. Total: of 3.25$ and profit on a position with 10 shares: 5$ + 5$ + 1.875$ + 0.625$ = 12.5$
I have got -5.1$ + 5.50 = 0.40$
Enough for me to perfection the entry price and the related size/risk calculation.
