16.50 held twice in premarket and was an important level. When the market open, longs were washed out through 16.50 and AMD quickly reclaimed that level and ran to premarket highs (roughly 17.20). Additionally, 17.20 was a level from the daily chart. AMD failed at this level and quickly pulled back to 17. My plan was to wait for a push back to that and short on the lower high. I ended up shorting AMD as a momentum trade to the downside with risk at 17.20. Took partials when I was up about 1R and the rest on the way down, took the rest off when momentum reversed. Hesitated to enter this trade, which thus skewed the R:R significantly. I let my fear of being wrong/incorrect/red cause me to not take the ideal entry (the lower high) or 17.08 bids, and instead waited for it to crack 17.
