AMD sold off hard at the open, but was able to find a bottom and reclaim VWAP. this is when I got VERY interested. I identified a key level, 19.40 that was resistance intraday. It was wedging higher, and 19.40 was the ceiling. My thesis was that a break above and hold of 19.40 would lead to a push to premarket lows (19.76 or so) or even higher. I put in a bid to buy at VWAP (19.27) and risked off 19.14 (below a wick inside the wedge). I added more shares and risked off 19.22 or so as AMD continued to make higher lows. I paid myself when it broke above 19.40, but did not fight for price as well on the exit. I wasn't patient enough, so I took off 3/4 of the position at about 2R. I was more patient to take off the rest; sold another 1/8 of the full position in front of the premarket lows; set a stop for the rest at 19.59 as 19.60 was an important support level intraday, there were buyers there on the way up.
