NFLX Trade on Jan 23, 2019 10:19 from boldandnuts: Tradervue User Stock Trades.

This trade was a desaster. I traded so badly :-( In hindsight I can just say that my approach is working. Unfortunately I am not mentally suited to stick to the strategy when it gets tough. Man up, Markus!

Mistakes made:
- Not taking off break-even after reversal signals (decision-candles) and first partials.
- Adding size without confirmation.
- Adding more size close to previous add without confirmation.
- Stop to add when clear signals are there and add allowed.

Resistance: 327.50 330.50 332 334.50(200)
Support: 325.75 324 321 317.50(100)-318

It started out well. NFLX traded very fast and volatile out of the Open. I watched it and again missed my Entry when it rejected 332 as I was too hesitant. Missed a great move here.

When NFLX retested its previous lows from the Open I wanted to go for a double bottom. But did not have a clear signal. It just retested lows and when it started to move up I took a stab with not even a quarter tier to pyramid in. No follow through and even a reversal-candle formed, but I did not take it off. Stuck with it. But was fine with it.

I was patient and watched it trade lower. 325 found support and I did good on my add by waiting. I did not trust it and took off half into break-even. Into 327.50 at the EMA9 on 5m I took the next partial. Hit the high. Mistake was just, there was a clear reversal-candle that would have allowed to flip short. I stuck to my trade and let it trade against me.

Things started to go sour.

Below 325 we found consolidation. on the break back above I added back. Again no follow through.

Into 323.50 I added more. Again, here no confirmation, no decision-candle! I stuck with my position as my average was ok.

324 showed resistance, but I stuck with it. on the second test I took partials and more profit into the EMA9 again. Great Partial. AGAIN, I did NOT take off my trade and the rest as a Reversal-Decision-Candle formed. Bad call as NFLX wasn't done selling with the market.

Again I wanted to go for a Double Bottom at 323. I did not wait for the candle to finish and took an add when NFLX stalled. Bad call.

Trading into 321 I started to get aggressive and careless. I added 321.50. Again without confirmation. To make it worse I added even more below it when I saw it finding a bid and got filled on the low. But again, NO Confirmation! Average 322.70.

I hesitated to take a loss around 322 as I assumed the 321 level would hold and a break even trade at worst.

Nope. NFLX had different plans. For the rest of the day the 319-319.50 level held. My next support area was 318ish and I really wanted to see it there to add size and lower my average.

I mean, there were soooo many, ok 5(!!!) occasions, until the end of the session that would have allowed for an add. Even if I had continued to add the quarter tier sizes on the first 2-3 occasions I would have been fine to get out with a profit.

However, I was so mentally occupied and worried about the selloff into 318 that i hesitated to take any more adds before that happened. I did not even add when we made a quick move belwo 319, but immediately lifted that level.

I mean, we even traded back above 322 and i still did not take my loss or a partial loss. Traded really badly. Curious on how this affects the next days.

NFLX happened to rally with the market into the close. As I was so scared of a bigger loss I took losses way too early. We even traded back to my average to allow for a break-even trade.
