NVDA Trade on Jan 28, 2019 10:23 from boldandnuts: Tradervue User Stock Trades.

NVDA came out with NEWS at 9am to lower its Earnings Guidance. NVDA sold off hard from 150 to 135 during premarket on high volume. Volume was big on NVDA. The selloff wiped out all my levels and took MU AMD and some other stocks with it. The Market as well.

So I just watched for the most part as the Trading range was just massive and I did not know what size to take. I saw the support of 131 being tested twice, but was not sure about my levels and had 130 in mind as of significance. 131 held and it formed a nice decision-candle below 132 on 1m. Just did not trust it. In hindsight and for a 10 point move that would have been decent. With an adjustement of size for 1$ candles.

I watched for the most part, but had 139.50 143 as pivots. Not that they werer good, but I had those levels marked.

I watched closely and when I saw the 138.50 level test, way below my pivot, I gave it a shot. It spiked above to reverse. My exit was nice and I should have taken off rest latest at break even as NVDA was unpredictable.

Stuck to it. Added 139.50s during the consolidation but should have waited for a clear reject. Gamble. Level lifted. Position size was ok, but average not.

When 141 tested I did really good. There was a decision candle and the one I should have waited for as usual. My average was 140 and not too bad. After my experience in the past week though I was nervous and are reserved of scaling in.

I cut the trade break-evenish with a small loss in total.

Currently giving Risk per Trade more thought with focus on correct entries. Risk forcing me to define it before taking an entry.
