I identified 12.40 as one level on GME before the market opened, as well as the premarket "highs" of roughly 12.78, but I didn't want to risk off that, so I waited for a held offer at 12.40. When it initially held, GME pulled to 12.10-12.15ish and then popped back up to 12.31, which I loved, so I shorted it at 12.30 (literally 12.31 was the best entry I could have gotten on this retest) and risked off 12.40 which meant I put a stop at 12.41. I took partials on the way down, and then when it started having trouble at 12, I added those shares back, risking off 12.02ish for the shares I added back. I took more shares off as it washed below 12, then saw some big bid setup type action, which is where I added even more shares back in, with very tight risk. I staggered my stops, but ultimately it squeezed and kinda screwed me over on the gains I was trying to lock in post-big bid setup. Ultimately, one thing I could have done better was to still keep 25 shares or so to let this trade work more, since my initial entry was so good and I was trying to trade around my core.
