CAMP Trade on Apr 28, 2014 10:34 from 0936am_BOWS_BCV12: Tradervue User Stock Trades.

After the loss on CAMP kept watching it for a better entry to short if it continued to show weakness. Noticed it began turning down into MAs again and was looking for an entry near .50ish area. Took short with .10 stop.
When it encountered strong support at 18 whole number sold all.

Great entry and great trade overall Blake!

The only thing i am missing here is why you had a .10 cent stop loss when it had to be at least .20ish one right above the recent highs, around $16.80?

Mirko, (sorry for the book, LOL) when I start live it will be a small account. My main priority is capital preservation. So, at least during the first few weeks I need to be very "surgical" with my trades therefore my stops have to be tight. I am sure there are many strategies that achieve this but the one that aligns with my personality and style are tight stops. My constant focus since being in simulation is to look for the "trigger" levels where the "momo" begins (the large candle move). I almost exclusively use 1min charts during AM session and 2min charts in afternoon to detect this area. I have many flat trades because the areas where I enter should move if they don't I get out fast and move on. Bottom line is my style is very defensive so the transition to live is safer.

Appreciate the great reply Blake, it really does makes sense and if it works for you keep pushing it!

My concern was that in case like that where you have tight stop loss which isn't at a nearest resistance level, then you might get easily and quickly stopped out if the trade does not go in your direction instantly when you enter it. Perhaps it could have one or two more candles after your entry near the nearest resistance before it flushes in that case and you would end up being stopped out although the trade will go in desired direction in the end.
