AAPL had it with me again today.
Once AAPL broke out i watched it closely as I had 172.50 for resistance. It formed a decision-candle and I waited for the lows to break. It didn't! AAPL traded higher forming higher lows on the one minute, but slowed down in its pace. I knew it would eventually try to go higher but eventually make a couple ticks to the upside to just drop very hard and fast.
Instead of the lows of that candle I used the half dollar crack below with a stop limit order to enter. Entry was good, but late and I left some 10ct on the table.
Partials were a bit early but did good to cover into the spike. Mistake was not to take off all of it once it broke my break even.
My add at 173 was just bad! It never came back below the level. not the offer at least.
When I finally saw the decision-candle I was waiting all along I did good to add even more. Still I was worried about not being right, but the trade eventually worked out.
Did good with my partials and taking it off when consolidation broke to the upside.
