Display size
The first thing to think about is how large you want your monitor to be. The minimum size I would go with is 24 inches. You can also find a lot of quality monitors ranging between 24 and 32 inches. Larger screens make it easier to display several charts or programs at the same time. If you like ultrawide monitors, they are perfectly viable for trading as well. Ultimately, the right size is a matter of personal preference.
Screen resolution
I always have several charts displayed with a lot of small data, but thanks to my high-resolution monitors, I can see everything clearly.
So you’re going to need a monitor with a resolution that can display small text, numbers, charts, graphs, and other information with good detail so that you won’t strain your eyes or misread them.

Ergonomics

Compatibility with stands
I always choose monitors with VESA mount holes that can be attached to VESA stands so that I have plenty of options to organize my trading setup.
